The European mission in Iraq is recruiting

Badge 10cm EU-IRAQ-def(BRUSSELS2) The Rule of Law Mission in Iraq (EUJUST Lex) is recruiting three "Rule of Law" experts, judicial, police and penitentiary on secondment from Member States. The first will be based in Baghdad, the other two respectively in Basra and Erbil.

Their mission will be to contribute to and assist in the reform of Iraqi legislation, policies and procedures in their area. They will also have to supervise ("mentor") the Iraqi authorities and former "students" trained by EUJUST Lex in their careers, such as acquiring or updating knowledge in the functioning of the Iraqi criminal justice system. A minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of criminal, public administration, training or criminal legal affairs is required.

In addition, a head of support department has also been recruited; but this time the position can be filled both on secondment and on contract.
